The Missing Middle

Wavefella has introduced the RIB 380, a 3.8-meter fiberglass RIB designed to fill the gap between the compact RIB 330 and larger patrol-oriented models. With a deep-V hull, Hypalon tubes, and a 700 kg payload capacity, the RIB 380 serves coastal patrol units, dive operations, and commercial transport operators who need more capability than a compact RIB without the footprint of a full-size vessel.

The RIB 380 combines the proven deep-V hull design from the RIB 330 with increased length, higher payload, and a 60 HP engine rating —making it a versatile platform for professional applications.

Key Features:

  • 3.8 m length x 1.8 m beam —Balanced size for trailering and two-person crew handling
  • Deep-V fiberglass hull —Proven wave-slicing design for coastal and inshore conditions
  • 1.2 mm Hypalon tubes —4 independent chambers for puncture redundancy and UV resistance
  • 700 kg payload —Generous capacity for 6 persons plus mission equipment
  • 60 HP max engine rating —Recommended 30-50 HP for optimal performance
  • Self-bailing deck —Standard on all Wavefella professional RIB models

“The RIB 380 was the most requested model from our dealer network,” said the Wavefella product team. “Operators wanted something between the 330 and the 450 —more payload and deck space than the compact model, but still easy to trailer and manage with a small crew. The 380 hits that sweet spot.”

The RIB 380 is available now for order. Standard configuration includes a center console, navigation lights, 40 L fuel tank, and self-bailing deck. Custom configurations for patrol, diving, and transport applications are available through the Wavefella OEM program.
