Proper care can make your inflatable boat last 10-15 years. Learn essential cleaning, storage, inflation, and repair techniques.

Your inflatable boat is an investment. With proper care, it can last 10-15 years. Here’s how.

Cleaning

Always rinse your boat with fresh water after every use, especially in salt water. Use mild soap and a soft sponge —never harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers.

Storage

  • Dry thoroughly before storing to prevent mold and mildew
  • Store partially inflated in winter to relieve stress on seams
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures
  • Use a storage bag to protect from dust and UV

Inflation

  • Inflate to the recommended PSI (typically 12-15 PSI for boats)
  • Never exceed the maximum PSI printed on the valve
  • Check pressure before each use —temperature changes affect PSI

Repairs

Every Wavefella boat comes with a repair kit. Small punctures are easy to fix:

  1. Clean and dry the area
  2. Apply adhesive to both patch and tube
  3. Press firmly and let cure for 24 hours

Annual Checkup

Inspect valves, seam tape, and fabric annually. Replace worn valves before they fail.

Follow these tips and your Wavefella boat will deliver years of reliable service on the water.
