Material & Product Testing

Rigorous testing ensures every Wavefella product meets international safety and durability standards

01

UV Resistance Test

Materials are exposed to accelerated UV radiation equivalent to 2 years of direct sunlight. PVC and Hypalon samples are measured for color fade, surface cracking, and tensile strength retention.

ISO 4892-2
>95% tensile strength retention after 2000 hours
02

Pressure Test

Every inflatable chamber is tested at 1.5x rated working pressure for 24 hours. Drop-stitch cores are tested to 2x rated PSI. Pressure decay monitoring detects micro-leaks.

ISO 6185
Zero pressure drop over 24 hours at 1.5x rated PSI
03

Seam Strength Test

Welded and glued seams are tested in peel and shear configurations. Heat-welded seams undergo thermal cycling from -20°C to +60°C before strength testing.

ISO 34-1
Seam strength >90% of base material
04

Load & Buoyancy Test

Every model is tested at maximum rated load in calm and simulated chop conditions. Buoyancy chamber redundancy is verified with one chamber fully deflated.

ISO 6185 / ISO 10087
Positive buoyancy at 1.5x rated load with one chamber deflated
05

Hydrostatic Test

Complete boat assemblies are subjected to hydrostatic pressure equivalent to 2m water depth. Leak detection via pressure sensors and visual inspection.

EN 15649
No leakage at 2m hydrostatic head
06

Abrasion & Puncture Test

Material samples are tested with Martindale abrasion apparatus (ISO 12947) and puncture force testing. Bottom panels receive additional abrasion testing simulating beach landings.

ISO 12947 / ASTM D1004
>50,000 cycles Martindale, >50N puncture resistance
Quality Assurance

Every Product, Every Batch, Tested

Testing is not a spot-check process. Every production batch is sampled and tested against our full protocol suite. If a batch fails any test, the entire batch is quarantined and investigated.

Our engineering team continuously refines material specifications based on test data. This closed-loop process means each product generation is stronger than the last.
