Built from the Best
Every material in a Wavefella product is chosen for its performance in marine environments. We do not use consumer-grade materials in professional-grade equipment.
Marine-Grade PVC
Multi-layer laminated PVC fabric with a knitted polyester scrim. Each layer is fusion-welded rather than glued, eliminating delamination risks. Rated for marine environments with UV stabilizers, saltwater corrosion resistance, and abrasion protection.
Drop-Stitch Core Fabric
Thousands of polyester threads connect the top and bottom PVC layers at 1-inch intervals. At 12-15 PSI, these threads create a rigid, lightweight structure that supports standing, walking, and carrying loads without a hard frame or internal supports.
Hypalon (CSM Rubber)
Chlorosulfonated polyethylene synthetic rubber used on RIB models. Hypalon provides superior UV resistance, chemical resistance (fuel, oil), and maintains flexibility in extreme temperatures. Outlasts standard PVC 2-3x in direct sun exposure.
Air Deck Floor System
High-pressure inflatable floor (15-20 PSI) with drop-stitch core replacing traditional plywood or aluminum slat floors. Provides standing rigidity while reducing setup time, overall weight, and storage volume by 40% compared to traditional floors.
Stainless Steel Hardware
All D-rings, fin boxes, valves, and attachment points use 316 stainless steel — the marine standard for corrosion resistance. Brass and nylon-galvanized alternatives are available for weight-sensitive applications.
Double-Layer Side Walls
Side walls feature a double-layer PVC construction with an additional rub rail strip. This reinforcement protects against dock abrasion, beach contact, and side impacts — the most common wear points on inflatable watercraft.
